Official Announcement

We officially announced on Facebook. I've been dying to actually do it but didn't feel comfortable until I passed the first trimester and knew things were good at that point. So now I the facebook world knows as well as my bosses. Though the majority of my coworkers still don't know yet. It's just kind of fun to me to surprise people. For our announcement I posted these pictures with the caption:

"The four of us love having our own house."

Love having people know and be able to talk about it more.

15 Weeks

15 Weeks

How far along?15 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Still between two pounds down and sitting at my pre-pregnancy weight, just depends on the day
Maternity clothes? Some, mostly I just am still wearing the same pants that actually fit.
Stretch marks? Not any new ones that I know.
Sleep:I have not been sleeping the best the last few nights, I think it's just stress related but it will hopefully get better soon
Best moment this week: We are now homeowners!!! We officially got keys for our new house and signed the papers for them. We got a good portion of our stuff moved in and it's looking awesome. It's a little overwhelming, but I love it and can't wait to get our nursery all set up once we know the gender and it's a little closer.
Miss anything? Sleep. Colton. Colton had to start back up his school semester in Salt Lake this week and I haven't sleep much the last few nights and I'm way tired.
Movement: A few more little bubbly moments. Still nothing consistent though.
Food cravings: Nothing really. It almost makes me sad that I don't have crazy cravings like most pregnant women.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Eh not really. Mostly just if I go too long without eating.
Have you started to show yet: A little more, it's still not looking like I'm definitely pregnant or anything yet.
Gender: Just over 5 weeks!!! I can't wait. Though I will say if this baby is a girl (which I'm starting to lean towards again), She's not going to have more than a middle name. I just can't decide on anything that sticks for more than about a week.
Labor signs: Nothing yet, thank heavens.
Belly button in or out? In. Always in.
Wedding rings on or off? On I assume. It's somewhere in the jumble of my packing from moving and I haven't come across it yet so I haven't worn it for a week or so.
Happy or moody most of the time: I'm much happier than I have been. I'm glad that it's going away because for a while there I was so bad. It was hard.
Looking forward to: Finding out the gender. Getting fully into our house, getting our grass nice and alive again so we can play on it.

15 Weeks:
Your Baby is as Big as a Navel Orange
  • You probably can't feel it yet, but she's squirming a ton!
  • She might even be hiccuping in there.
  • She's making lots of progress: her joints and limbs can all move now.
The average fetus at 15 weeks weighs 2.5 ounces and measures 4 inches — and his proportions are becoming even more normal, since his legs now outmeasure his arms.

14 Weeks!

14 Weeks

How far along? 14 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Still down about 1-2 pounds from where I started.
Maternity clothes? Starting to think about it more and more. I still have a few pairs of pants that fit, but when they are dirty I'm so uncomfortable trying to make the rest of them work.
Stretch marks? Not sure that there are any new ones
Sleep: Tired, and Elli has been a nightmare getting to bed lately so I'm not getting enough sleep
Best moment this week: Having our next appointment. I asked them for an ultrasound because I just couldn't handle the stress of the doppler. Plus the last two weeks have been so stressful for me so I just asked and we had one. It was so great. I was really nervous about it, but little baby was looking great. We struggled to get a good picture because the little beast was just rolling around like crazy. It was such a great moment. Honestly that was probably the most connected to the pregnancy I have felt the whole time. I couldn't stop smiling all day long. I finally feel like I'm pregnant. But heart beat was strong at 166. Makes me so happy!
Miss anything? Not particularly at the moment.
Movement: Few little pops here and there, but nothing consistent as of yet. I think I'm going to feel this baby more much earlier than I did with Elli and that makes me really happy.
Food cravings: Nah, Nothing in particular
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really, I've been feel pretty good this week actually and think the worst of my morning sickness (which luckily wasn't very bad this time around) is past. I still haven't dared eat eggs though.
Have you started to show yet: More so, but it's still hard to say I look pregnant vs just a little pudgy.
Gender: I was able to make our appointment this week. They won't do the ultrasound until 18-20 weeks, and I was hoping for 18 so that we could do it as soon as possible, but with Colton and my schedule it just didn't work out until I was a little over 20 weeks. So I guess we will find out in 6ish weeks. I don't know what I think the baby is at this point. I was really strongly thinking it was a boy, but now I just don't know at all.
Labor signs: Nope
Bell button in or out? In and there it is going to stay
Wedding rings on or off? On. I don't wear it a ton because my fingers swell worse with the heat and then it bothers me, but I think it will be awhile before I can't actually wear it.
Happy or moody most of the time: I'm getting happier. The last few weeks have been stressful
Looking forward to: we are supposed to be getting into our house really soon. I'm also really excited to find out the gender of this baby! We have our appointment for September 30th!

Your Baby is as Big as a Lemon
  • He's probably sucking his thumb and wiggling his toes in there!
  • His kidneys are making urine, and his liver and spleen are doing their jobs, too.
  • And he's growing lanugo, a thin, peach-fuzz-like hair, all over his body — it will help him keep warm!
At week 14, your baby is 3.4 inches and 1.5 ounces, he's almost doubled in weight since last week and keeps on growing.

Happy second trimester!! 13 Weeks

13 Weeks

How far along? 13 weeks! I am officially out of the first trimester today!
Total weight gain/loss: This week I am actually down about two pounds from where I have been sitting at.
Maternity clothes? Still managing to make it by with a few of my pairs of pants, and all of my shirts work so so far no. I also was given a few belly bands from my in-laws, so I think it will be a little while yet.
Stretch marks? I don't think any new ones really
Sleep: This week has actually been really good. I'm back to having a little more of that pregnancy insomnia, where you can't seem to fall asleep even though you are tired, but at the same time I've started getting a good portion of my energy back so I don't feel so exhausted all the time, and that has been awesome.
Best moment this week: We found out we might get to close on our house 3-4 weeks earlier than we originally thought we might
Miss anything? Not in particular. I've been feeling pretty good this week
Movement: I swear I'm still feeling the same small feelings that I was last week. I'm hesitant to say for sure that it's movement just because I'm still nervous that something happened that we will find out about at our next appointment, but I don't know.
Food cravings: Potato chips and french fries. The salt just really seems to settle my stomach when I'm having a rough time.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Mostly just going to long without eating or drinking. I still tend to get sick more often in the evenings that any other time of day
Have you started to show yet: I'd say my belly has definitely gotten bigger. I still don't think very many people would attribute it to being pregnant, but it's definitely there.
Gender: For several weeks now I've been thinking it was a boy, and Elli is convinced it's her baby brother, but this week I'm starting to question again and think maybe it's a girl. This seriously is driving me crazy to not know.
Labor signs: Still having some mild cramping, especially if I'm not drinking enough, but not too bad.
Bell button in or out? In, and there it is going to stay.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Still having more moodiness than I care to admit, but I'm getting better about that too, as my exhaustion is waning I'm starting to feel a little more like myself.
Looking forward to: Getting into our house and doing our official pregnancy announcement, my next OB appointment is tomorrow so getting reassurance and being able to finally feel like things are good and we are passed what happened last time.

  • Can you believe she's forming vocal cords and teeth?!
  • And even though she's still teeny, she already has fingerprints.
  • Her intestines are moving from the umbilical cord to their more permanent place, in her tummy.
She's about 2.9 inches long and weighs about .81 ounces, and — proportion-wise — her head's now about 1/3 the size of her body (remember? It used to be bigger!).

12 weeks

12 Weeks:

How far along? 12 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Still at my pre-pregnancy weight
Maternity clothes? Nothing really yet, I probably could but I can get by with some of my clothes
Stretch marks? No new ones
Sleep: I still sleep great, and a lot, but it doesn't seem to matter, I'm still exhausted.
Best moment this week: Feeling what I'm pretty sure was small flutters from the baby
Miss anything? Not being exhausted
Movement: I might be crazy because it's still really early, but I swear I felt some small flutters this week. It was only a few and only when I'm laying down and really still, but I think it might have been the baby.
Food cravings: Not that I can really think of
Anything making you queasy or sick: Going to long without eating, eggs still, I've been a little sicker in the evenings this week than previously, but still nothing unbearable.
Have you started to show yet: Some
Gender: Both me and Elli are pretty sure it's a boy.
Labor signs: None
Bell button in or out? IN
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: A mix of both, but moody and crying way more than I ever was with Elli. It's super frustrating.
Looking forward to: Being out of the first trimester, finding out the gender!

  • Most of her critical systems are fully formed!
  • She's about to enter the growth and maturation stage, in which her organs and tissues will grow and develop rapidly.
  • She's now developing her reflexes — if you poke her body, she'll likely move.
  • She's opening and closing her fingers and curling her toes, too.
  • Her brain is developing fast!
The average fetus at 12 weeks is about 2.1 inches long and .49 ounces. Now that she's got pretty much all her parts, her main job is to keep on growing.

11 Weeks

11 Weeks

It scares me more than I care to admit to post this week...I found out that our last pregnancy was ending at 10 weeks and 6 days so I'm nervous and hopeful that things are going okay since I won't find out anything for another two weeks at this point.

She hugged me while saying over and over again, "I love you baby."

How far along? 11 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: still at my pregnancy weight
Maternity clothes? A few maternity clothes, but still mostly just wearing the clothes that still fit
Stretch marks? No new ones
Sleep: I sleep fine, but it doesn't matter how much I sleep at all, I'm still just completely exhausted every minute.
Best moment this week: Elli telling me "I love my baby so much."
Miss anything? Not being so tired and emotional
Movement: nothing yet...anxiously waiting for it.
Food cravings: Wienerschnitzel chili cheese dog and fries, which my dad made me some and it was delicious!
Anything making you queasy or sick: I get pretty sick in the evenings, I'm not really sure what it is, maybe I'm not eating enough throughout the day, I'm not really sure but evenings make me sick.
Have you started to show yet: A little, but it's definitely not obvious that I'm pregnant
Gender: It's killing me to not know!! But I am starting to lean towards it being a boy.
Labor signs: I've had quite a bit of cramps in the evenings lately, which completely freaks me out, but hopefully it's just my uterus growing
Bell button in or out? In, and it had better stay that way.
Wedding rings on or off? On, when I remember to wear it.
Happy or moody most of the time: Honestly, as much as I hate to admit it, moody. I'm just so tired, and I started working full time again and it just makes me a complete grouch to be so tired. I was never quite this grumpy with Elli.
Looking forward to: My next appointment to have some reassurance that everything is okay.

  • You can't see it, but she's moving fluidly and gracefully in there.
  • Her skin is see-through, but she's on her way to looking more like a baby.
  • Her fingers and toes aren't webbed anymore.
  • Tooth buds, hair follicles and nail beds are forming.
Your fetus is about 1.6 inches long, and she's got about a 1:1 head to body ratio. She now weighs in at about .25 ounces.
