37 Weeks!! FULL TERM!!!

37 Weeks

How far along?37 Weeks, Officially full term!!!
Total weight gain/loss: At my appointment this week I was back down to being two pounds over my prepregnancy weight.
Maternity clothes? Just what I have been wearing the whole time. I definitely am getting bigger though
Stretch marks? No new ones
Sleep: Really rough this week. I firmly believe the end of pregnancy is designed to help prepare you for when the baby comes. I've been hurting all night, waking up every two hours, and feeling exhausted every morning no matter how long I was in bed.
Best moment this week: Colton cleaned out my car and I got a lot of the baby stuff we needed purchased. I have also been having a lot of stress about stillbirths and SIDS, but Colton convinced me to buy an Owlet, and then gave me a blessing promising things would go okay with delivery so I've been starting to feel better about that.
Miss anything? I miss not hurting so much. I don't remember being quite this sore with Elli. I missing sleeping, not having to pee all day long, I miss not stressing about when she's going to be born. That was my least favorite part of the end of pregnancy with Elli too. I just can't stand the unknown. If she's going to come early I just want to know. I'm really hoping she'll stay in until February 12th at the very soonest, but I know that just like Elli who I wanted to come super early, she will come whenever she is ready.
Movement: So stinking much!! She is so strong. I don't remember really hard strong kicks with Elli like this little girl does. I have actually even been able to get a few videos of her kicking from the outside which is perfect!!
Food cravings: Soda. I'm not much of a soda drinker normally, but this week it tastes so good to me, and I just want to drink it like a million times.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I've started having a little more stomach pain and I think Braxton hicks and that makes me a little sick, Colton got a bloody nose the other day and normally that wouldn't bother me but this time it made me almost throw up to even think about it.
Have you started to show yet: Just a tad...I feel like I'm starting to look huge!!
Gender: Hopefully still a girl.
Labor signs: Nothing yet, maybe a few back contractions and increased pelvic pain and pressure but nothing that says labor is imminent. Which for me is good. I'm just not really ready yet. I'm still not getting cervix checks until at least next week (I'm thinking I'll wait even longer than that though) and I'm both insanely curious to know and also grateful I don't have whatever stress that might bring at the same time. I don't think the nurse at the OB knows what to think about it though. I don't think she likes it that I'm not having them, it just really doesn't mean anything.
Bell button in or out? In. Getting shallower, but still deep enough I don't think there is anyway that it will come out.
Wedding rings on or off? Off. My fingers and face are definitely a little fatter. It's nice though. I bought some compression socks and they have been helping a ton. My feet are barely swollen compared to where they were before that.
Happy or moody most of the time: Generally happy. I'm tired, but I'm feeling more positive than I have in months. Things are just going well and even though I'm stressed because I still have a ton of things I need to do in order to get ready for this baby to come I have the next few days off work and am planning on getting most of it taken care of.
Looking forward to:Getting all of our maternity pictures back. I have seen a few and they are adorable. But I had her take some specific ones so that we could announce the name we have picked and I didn't get any of those ones back and I'm dying waiting for them to get finished. I'm really hopeful that it will be in the next few days because I really want to announce before she is actually here. Also, we are getting the nursery finished this weekend too and I'm super excited to get that taken care of finally as well.

37 Weeks:
Your Baby is as Big as a Winter Melon
  • She's practicing some skills: inhaling, exhaling, sucking, gripping and blinking.
  • She's getting his first sticky poop (called meconium) ready for his first diaper.
Yay! Baby has reached full term. She likely measures around 18.9 to 20.9 inches and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds. She's gaining about 1/2 ounce each day.

36 Weeks! 4 WEEKS TO D-DAY!!!!

36 Weeks!!

How far along? 36 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: At my 36 week appointment I had gained about 6 pounds. I am not sure if it counts because I worked 7 of the last 8 days and my feet are really swollen so after I have a few days off it tends to come back down to about 2-3 pounds gained, but for now I guess we will just say 6 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Again, I've given up. I'm way too cheap to spend the money on them.
Stretch marks? No new ones
Sleep: Starting to get worse. I've been waking up a few times a night, struggling to fall back asleep when I do and just overall feeling really uncomfortable.
Best moment this week: We took our maternity pictures! I'm so excited to get them back and really hope they turned out super cute. I can't wait to do our name reveal with them finally!
Miss anything? My feet not being swollen, not feeling constantly exhausted, and my hips not being so sore.
Movement: A lot!! Little M has been quite the ninja lately. I've been able to watch her move my stomach from the outside quite a few times lately which I absolutely love. It's subtle but she definitely is doing it.
Food cravings: I really wanted a steak this week bad, but nothing big other than that.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, I generally feel pretty good overall. I'm struggling more with the texture of like whole chicken breasts, but I still do okay.
Have you started to show yet:Just a little. I did a comparison between my pregnancy with Elli and this one at 36 weeks and I feel like I look super similar. Just carrying a little lower with this one.
Gender: Girl as far as we know.
Labor signs: I've had a few minor contractions in my back, and maybe some braxton hicks, I'm not really sure if they are or not, they don't hurt, and I'm not sure if it's BH or just M pushing out a lot. But I'm refusing cervix checks until 38 or 39 weeks this go around so I don't know where I'm sitting with that.
Bell button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? Off
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy overall, but I'm getting more and more tired lately which is making it harder for me to be patient.
Looking forward to: Getting back all of our maternity pictures, being able to have a week off work so I can finally get everything ready for baby to come.

36 Weeks:

Your Baby is as Big as a Honeydew
  • She's getting closer and closer to being able to breathe on her own.
  • Her skin is getting smooth and soft and her gums are rigid.
  • Her liver and kidneys are in working order.
  • Circulation and immune systems are basically good to go, too.
She's still in the 17.2- to 18.7-inch and 4.2- to 5.8-pound range and continues to beef up.

35 Weeks

35 Weeks

How far along? 35 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: At my 34 week appointment at the beginning of this week I had gained between 2 and 3 pounds from pre-pregnancy. I'm not sure how much was water weight since my feet were still a little swollen from my long work week but even then, by this point I had gained 7 with Elli so I'm feeling pretty happy with that. I was hoping that since I hadn't gained I'd get a growth check ultrasound next week like I did with Elli, but unfortunately no such luck.
Maternity clothes? I'm calling this a lost cause. There is no way I'm buying anymore at this point so if the few pairs of pants I have stop fitting then it's leggings from here on out.
Stretch marks? Nah, not new ones.
Sleep: I'm starting to wake up a little more but still not too bad overall.
Best moment this week: Finding a cute dress for maternity pictures
Miss anything? I'm starting to get really bad heartburn like I did with Elli again. I hate having that. My feet not getting swollen if I stand too long.
Movement: Like crazy. Little M is strong. Stronger than I remember Elli being. She has even kicked hard enough a few times to make my stomach move in little waves which has been super fun for me.
Food cravings: Nothing really at this point.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, overall I feel pretty good, just tired and sore
Have you started to show yet:Yes, but people still don't think I look big enough for how far along I am. I think I disagree, but really I don't feel like I am huge either.
Gender: Hopefully still girl...It's going to be really strange if she comes out otherwise.
Labor signs: Nothing yet for sure. I have decided to avoid cervix checks this pregnancy until I'm much further along, so even though normally I would have been checked for progress at my appointment next week I won't be for a little longer yet. The doctor did say that as far as he could tell she was head down at my appointment this week, so that is happy.
Bell button in or out? IN
Wedding rings on or off? Off. I was planning on getting a cheap one to wear, but completely forgot so I guess I will just not wear one for a few more months until mine fits again.
Happy or moody most of the time: Overall I think I'm happy. Just tired quickly and starting to get a little more sore which makes me a little grumpy.
Looking forward to: We are taking my maternity pictures this coming weekend and I'm actually really excited. I got a cute dress, we got some newborn shoes, and the letters I ordered for her nursery are supposed to be here (so guess what!!! You finally all get an official name reveal then too).

35 Weeks:
Your Baby is as Big as a Coconut
  • Now, his hearing is fully developed, and he responds best to high-pitched noises.
  • If it's a boy, his testes have probably fully descended.
He's about 17.2 to 18.7 inches. From here on out, he won't get much longer, but he's plumping up. He's now about 4.2 to 5.8 pounds, and he'll put on a pound or more of baby fat before birth.

34 Weeks

34 Weeks

How far along? 34 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I honestly didn't weigh myself this week. I do have an appointment tomorrow so I guess we'll see what the scale shows then.
Maternity clothes? Nah, I really hate spending money on something I'll only wear a few weeks. So I'm just going to make do with my pants that fit now. I guess if they stop fitting then leggings it is for the next month.
Stretch marks? No new ones.
Sleep: Getting worse and worse honestly. I have pregnancy induced carpal tunnel and it's really bad at night and my arms would go numb from the elbow up a few times a night and wake me up. I've also started having to go to the bathroom a little more at night.
Best moment this week: Scheduled my maternity pictures and found a cute dress to wear for them.
Miss anything? My hands and skin on my left thigh not being numb most of the time. My hip not hurting anytime I lay on my back for more than a few minutes,
Movement:She's getting stronger, starting to push out more and more. I swear every time I sit down she goes crazy.
Food cravings: Not anything that I can think of. I really wanted pringles for a day or so so I guess that.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not eating enough. Which is hard because I'm reaching the point again that absolutely nothing sounds good anymore and I can only eat about half of what I usually do before I start to feel sick.
Have you started to show yet:I've had several people tell me I don't look all that pregnant lately, but that makes no sense to me because I feel like I must be huge.
Gender: Baby M is still a girl as far as we know. Luckily her room is pretty gender neutral so it's not too scary if she comes out a boy.
Labor signs:Nope. I'm really praying hard this baby stays in until her due date so hopefully it stays that way. All though I'm starting to realize that I'll be full term officially in 3 weeks and that completely makes me panic! I'm so not ready. I really need to start thinking about packing my hospital bag, but man I don't want to think about it yet. I'm so excited to meet this little girl but at the same time, I'm super stressed about the transition from one kid to two. Luckily Colton is really good at helping out so it won't be as bad as it could be.
Bell button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? Off. I also worked a lot this week and so after that many days on my feet my ankles and feet swelled like crazy and I couldn't fit into my work shoes which really sucked.
Happy or moody most of the time: Tired. I don't even know what I feel other than that most of the time. I honestly work too much to really say.
Looking forward to:Getting maternity pictures taken, getting the nursery all set up since I now finally know what I'm doing and have been working on a blanket for her.

34 Weeks:
Your Baby is as Big as a Butternut Squash
  • He's recognizing and reacting to simple songs, if you're singing them. (If you're not, start! He may find them soothing after birth.)
  • He's also urinating about a pint a day.
At less than two months to go, he weighs in at about 4.2 pounds to 5.8 pounds and measures about 17.2 to 18.7 inches.

33 Weeks

33 weeks

How far along? 33 weeks, just 49 days until due date!
Total weight gain/loss:Fluctuating between being up two pounds and being at my pre weight, just depends on how swollen my feet are that day.
Maternity clothes? Not any new ones. I really should have gotten more, but eh, why.
Stretch marks? Maybe a few small new ones.
Sleep:I wake up at least once a night to go to the bathroom, sometimes twice. I also have started sleeping almost the entire night on one side so when I finally wake up to roll over half way through I hurt like crazy.
Best moment this week: Christmas by far. It was so much fun with Elli and I can't wait to celebrate next year with my two little girls.
Miss anything? Being able to flip over in bed without the huge ordeal of moving my body pillow and having to sit up to move and all of that. My feet not hurting so bad and being swollen after a long day or week of work.
Movement: Getting to be a little more. She's pretty active when I lay down on my back at night. I like to lay there like that longer than my hips like just to feel her going nuts. On Christmas day at church she was going crazy and Colton actually got to feel like 8 kicks in a row. He has felt her before but usually she tends to stop as soon as he touches me. I swear he calms both my girls down so quickly. It's a mad skill.
Food cravings: I had a day where I was craving apple juice like crazy. So I drank a ton and now it kinda makes me sick to think about drinking more.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not that I can think of. I generally feel pretty crappy in the mornings and struggle eating but there is nothing in particular that makes it worse.
Have you started to show yet:I definitely think so, though apparently I don't look big enough to be due in February. I think people are crazy.
Gender: Girl. Name announcement coming soon.
Labor signs: Nothing that I'm aware of. Maybe some braxton hicks but I don't really think so.
Bell button in or out? In. I seriously have the deepest belly button ever so I'd have to get huge if it were going to pop out. Thankfully. I'm so not a fan of outies.
Wedding rings on or off? Off.
Happy or moody most of the time: Moody. I get tired and then have no patience. I'm also starting to panic about how close the baby could be here and so that makes me a little moody too because I'm stressed.
Looking forward to: I have my next appointment this week (I'm down to every two week appointments now) and I'm hoping that since I haven't gained a ton of weight that they'll have me do another growth ultrasound.

33 Weeks:
Your Baby is as Big as a Durian
  • He's keeping his eyes open while awake.
  • He's also starting to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing.
  • His bones are hardening.
  • And he going through (more) major brain development — that's one smart baby!
He weighs about 4.2 to 5.8 pounds and measures about 17.2 to 18.7 inches. And he may grow up to a full inch this week — amazing.

32 Weeks

32 Weeks

How far along? 32 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  at my appointment today i was still measuring at my pregnancy weight
Maternity clothes? I am too cheap to buy them so I just make what i have work. I still have a few pants that fit fine
Stretch marks?  no new ones
Sleep: really rough this week. We spent a few nights on a mattress on the floor and I'm starting to have to go to the bathroom during the night a lot more. I'm starting to get more fatigued again too.
Best moment this week:  getting completely moved out of our apartment in salt lake and knowing daddy doesn't have to leave us anymore.
Miss anything?  my hip not locking up and hurting super bad, being able to lift things and bend over without feeling like I'm going to pass out.
Movement: lots and lots. It's kinda funny because she gets way active every Sunday during church. Hopefully that's not a sign for how all of my Sundays will be after she comes.
Food cravings: I know it's kind of boring, but nope. I just really don't have many cravings when I'm pregnant. At least nothing crazy.
Anything making you queasy or sick:
Have you started to show yet: HAHAHAHA....
Gender: Little baby E is hopefully still a girl. It will be very surprising if she comes out otherwise
Labor signs: Nothing yet. Hopefully 8 more weeks before we worry about it at all.
Bell button in or out? Still in for sure. Though it's getting shallower.
Wedding rings on or off? Off sadly. Not very fun.
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy, tired though. It definitely gets hard when I get tired or uncomfortable.
Looking forward to:  Finally starting to get a little more prepared for her. Got my carseat washed and ready and started thinking about what to do for the nursery.

32 Weeks:
Your Baby is as Big as a Squash
  • She's getting ready for her descent — she's likely in the head-down position now.
  • And she's probably feeling even more cramped.
Still growing, your baby weighs in at about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds and measures about 15.2 to 16.7 inches.
