How far along?37 Weeks, Officially full term!!!
Total weight gain/loss: At my appointment this week I was back down to being two pounds over my prepregnancy weight.
Maternity clothes? Just what I have been wearing the whole time. I definitely am getting bigger though
Stretch marks? No new ones
Sleep: Really rough this week. I firmly believe the end of pregnancy is designed to help prepare you for when the baby comes. I've been hurting all night, waking up every two hours, and feeling exhausted every morning no matter how long I was in bed.
Best moment this week: Colton cleaned out my car and I got a lot of the baby stuff we needed purchased. I have also been having a lot of stress about stillbirths and SIDS, but Colton convinced me to buy an Owlet, and then gave me a blessing promising things would go okay with delivery so I've been starting to feel better about that.
Miss anything? I miss not hurting so much. I don't remember being quite this sore with Elli. I missing sleeping, not having to pee all day long, I miss not stressing about when she's going to be born. That was my least favorite part of the end of pregnancy with Elli too. I just can't stand the unknown. If she's going to come early I just want to know. I'm really hoping she'll stay in until February 12th at the very soonest, but I know that just like Elli who I wanted to come super early, she will come whenever she is ready.
Movement: So stinking much!! She is so strong. I don't remember really hard strong kicks with Elli like this little girl does. I have actually even been able to get a few videos of her kicking from the outside which is perfect!!
Food cravings: Soda. I'm not much of a soda drinker normally, but this week it tastes so good to me, and I just want to drink it like a million times.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I've started having a little more stomach pain and I think Braxton hicks and that makes me a little sick, Colton got a bloody nose the other day and normally that wouldn't bother me but this time it made me almost throw up to even think about it.
Have you started to show yet: Just a tad...I feel like I'm starting to look huge!!
Gender: Hopefully still a girl.
Labor signs: Nothing yet, maybe a few back contractions and increased pelvic pain and pressure but nothing that says labor is imminent. Which for me is good. I'm just not really ready yet. I'm still not getting cervix checks until at least next week (I'm thinking I'll wait even longer than that though) and I'm both insanely curious to know and also grateful I don't have whatever stress that might bring at the same time. I don't think the nurse at the OB knows what to think about it though. I don't think she likes it that I'm not having them, it just really doesn't mean anything.
Bell button in or out? In. Getting shallower, but still deep enough I don't think there is anyway that it will come out.
Wedding rings on or off? Off. My fingers and face are definitely a little fatter. It's nice though. I bought some compression socks and they have been helping a ton. My feet are barely swollen compared to where they were before that.
Happy or moody most of the time: Generally happy. I'm tired, but I'm feeling more positive than I have in months. Things are just going well and even though I'm stressed because I still have a ton of things I need to do in order to get ready for this baby to come I have the next few days off work and am planning on getting most of it taken care of.
Looking forward to:Getting all of our maternity pictures back. I have seen a few and they are adorable. But I had her take some specific ones so that we could announce the name we have picked and I didn't get any of those ones back and I'm dying waiting for them to get finished. I'm really hopeful that it will be in the next few days because I really want to announce before she is actually here. Also, we are getting the nursery finished this weekend too and I'm super excited to get that taken care of finally as well.
37 Weeks:
Your Baby is as Big as a Winter Melon
- She's practicing some skills: inhaling, exhaling, sucking, gripping and blinking.
- She's getting his first sticky poop (called meconium) ready for his first diaper.
